I recently had the pleasure of working with our friends at Nixe Design to photograph their stunning new high-end cashmere collection. Specialising in luxurious, beautifully crafted garments, Nixe Design wanted to capture the elegance and sophistication of their latest range. The photoshoot took place in a beautiful private home, adding an extra touch of charm and refinement to the setting.

What you don’t see in the final polished images, however, is all the behind-the-scenes chaos that makes fashion photography so exciting. From people rushing around to fix last-minute details, to hair and makeup getting in the way of the perfect shot, there’s always a lot happening. One of the more memorable moments was watching the assistant precariously perched on a stool, balancing multiple reflectors to get the light just right. Elephant tape held everything together behind the scenes, as it always does, while the owner of the house—a good friend—patiently wondered if they’d ever get their living room back.

Despite all this, the results were worth it. The final images showcased the beauty and quality of Nixe Design’s cashmere collection, highlighting the luxurious textures and elegant designs in a way that perfectly captured the essence of the brand. It’s these little behind-the-scenes challenges that make fashion photography so rewarding, as they add to the energy and creativity of the shoot.
